  • Alcothon: The Alcothon (or Alkathon) is a non-stop 10-day closed AA meeting. It begins at 8:00am on Wednesday, December 24 and ends just before midnight on Friday, January 2. All other scheduled events are suspended during the Alcothon.
  • Movie Matinee: Saturday, January 3, 2:00pm. The movie, Anger Management, will be shown on the big screen in the main meeting room. Admission is free. Lunch is pot luck so bring a dish if you can. An open discussion meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous will be held after the movie, at 4:30p.m. NOTE: The open meeting format is new as of January 2009. It was previously a closed discussion meeting.
  • Euchre Tournament begins January 10 at 7:00pm. This tournament lasts 10 weeks. It's $3 per night per player and FREE for substitutes. Prizes are awarded at the end of the tournament.   • Next Open Speaker: Friday, January 30 at 8:00pm. (SimanT) Birthdays (sobriety anniversaries) are celebrated at each open speaker meeting, on the last Friday of each month. To receive your birthday coin, sign up on the bulletin board. Birthdays coins are given for lengths of sobriety of 24 hours, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year and each year thereafter.
  • Next steering committee meeting: Sunday, January 11 at 3:30pm. This is not a regular AA meeting. It's an organizational meeting to discuss suggestions and administrative business related to the AA meetings. Any AA member is welcome to attend.
  • Big Book study meeting every Tuesday at 8pm. A selection from the basic text of the Big Book is read and discussed at this meeting, so please bring your Big Book. If you do not have one, books are available for purchase or you may borrow a copy to use on the evening of the meeting.
  • Grapevine meeting every Saturday at 8am. A reading is selected from the most current issue of Grapevine Magazine, followed by a regular AA discussion meeting. Note: Old issues of Grapevine can be signed out for free. Just request one from any club officer any time the club is open.
  • Non-smoking meeting each Saturday at 8am. The non-smoking meeting meets at the same time as the Grapevine meeting, but in a different room. It's in the non-smoking room (at the same time as the Grapevine meeting, but in a non-smoking room).

All meetings are closed (for alcoholics only) EXCEPT for the Open Speaker meeting on the last Friday of each month, which is open to the general public, and EXCEPT for the open discussion meeting at 4:30pm on Saturdays, which is open to anyone and everyone interested in a spiritual way of life.

  • CES - Central Eastside Group regular closed AA meeting (NOTE: Last Friday of the month is an open speaker meeting)

  • Hispanic - both Spanish and English can be spoken during meetings
